Thank you for your interest in scheduling a site visit to the Smithsonian-Mason School of Conservation. SMSC is located on the grounds of the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute. As a closed, federal research facility, student tours are booked by special arrangement, and require a faculty chaperone.
Our site visits include lunch in our all-you-can-eat dining hall, presentations by SMSC faculty members and current students, a walking tour of the campus buildings, and a tour of the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute property.
The cost per participant is $25.
You will be given an orientation to the research happening here as well a facility tour. All tours of research areas are subject to change due to research and animal care restrictions.
